Third Partners’ meeting in Palermo, Sicily
On October 2nd and 3rd, the project’s partners met in Palermo, Sicily, for the third transnational partners’ meeting, hosted by Centro per lo Sviluppo Creativo Danilo Dolci.
The meeting represented an opportunity for partners to take stock of the activities thus far implemented and to outline together the next steps to follow in order to develop the project’s intellectual outputs.
Thanks to all partners’ contributions, the meeting was characterized by a dense exchange, further enriched by the comparison between the different realities and experiences from the partnership’s countries.
Generic Report on Gender Neutral Testing’s summary ![]() In the past months, GeNeus’ partners have been conducting desk and field research in order to compile national information on testing systems in use, with a particular focus on gender differences in individual performances, thus defining country-specific needs in terms of equal opportunities of access to higher education and the labour market for both genders.
The research has been based on a set of interviews each partner conducted with professionals and experts from Small and Medium Enterprises, Public Administration and Post-Secondary Professional Education. The results of the interviews were then inscribed in a background research on national contexts regarding the gender equality situation and legal framework on selection and hiring processes and gender discrimination.
The findings from each partner’s country have been summarised in a Generic Report on Gender Neutral Testing summary, which will soon be published! What’s next?
The next step of the project will be the development of GeNeus’ second intellectual output: the Set of Gender Neutral Selection Tools and Tests. The partners have been actively working in this sense for the last months with the diffusion of gender neutral selection tests and will continue developing tools for a fairer selection process, for both women and men!
